The Mother of All Tank Battles

I don’t normally review games but this one did cach my eye as “Ya plohka gavaroo pa rooskie” which translates from Russian into “I speak Russian badly”.

It’s basic but very popular - rather like wizard chess from the Harry Potter movies - but I’ve seen the statue of Marshall Zhukov on his horse riding over the Nazi banners just off from Red Square in Moscow and felt this was worth a plug.

Google Alerts - Free Software and Applications

Google appears to be on a mission to produce free software and applications which may start causing some concern at Gates Mission Control in Seattle - already Google is providing a free spreadsheet and word processor with Google tools in direct competition with Microsoft.

Google has now announced that it is releasing a free mobile email service that is seriously going to put the cat among the pidgeons with every other player in the market. Google says it is only trying to change how we use the internet but I do wonder whether this is the thin end of the wedge to break Microsofts dominance and start charging down the line or whether we really are entering a Google age after the reign of Microsoft for so long.
